Police were called after fuming parents complained that a three-year-old was too good at football during a children's tournament. The youngster wowed onlookers with his skills on the ball - but some parents were left less than impressed.

The youth football tournament ended in full-blown rows between grown-ups, after some parents complained the tiny tot was too good, moaning that he was outplaying the other kids.

Things got so tense that police were even called to the youth football game in Florida to try and calm the competitive parents down.

The child in question, named Nevada, was said to be running the entire tournament - repeatedly scoring goals and running past every single child who tried to stop him.

An organiser from the i9 Sports program, who puts on the league, called police claiming one of Nevada's parents was being disruptive after the tournament organiser decided to pull him from playing.

They were said to be upset about their three-year-old being taken out of the game after playing well, and felt it was unfair that they were targeting the child.

The parents were asked to leave alongside Nevada and offered a refund, but were said to be angry about it.

The league said in a statement: "We are aware of concerns being shared regarding an incident at a local i9 Sports program, and we take them very seriously.

"The respectful treatment and well-being of every child and family matter deeply to us. We have reached out to the family and have begun a review that includes speaking with those involved."

Winter Park Police Department also issued a statement, saying it was a soccer league official who had called them, saying there was a "disturbance between league officials and the parents of a player."

The statement said: "The league requested the family leave and offered to refund the league cost to the family.

"Shortly after arrival, the officers were requested by the league official to communicate with the family as he did not want to further a disturbance. The family stated the game was over and they were leaving. "

Police said as soon as they were involved, the child's family were cooperative.
