The injury-ravaged Gorgie side were knocked out of the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals by Edinburgh rivals Hibernian at Barclays Hampden last Sunday.
Then on Thursday, the 31-year-old former Kilmarnock, Philadelphia Union and Oxford United centre-back headed in a late consolation goal in the 3-1 Conference League loss to Thun in Switzerland.
The deflating defeat left Wouter Vrancken’s side, who had 10 players missing through injury going into the game before Stephen Kingsley had to be replaced in the second half, with one point from nine in the competition ahead of the William Hill Premiership game against Falkirk on Sunday.
Asked what Vrancken’s message was to the team afterwards, Findlay told TNTSports: “That’s obviously a couple of tough defeats in a row for us, losing the derby, then Thursday night.
“But we’ve got a massive game again on Sunday and we need to make sure we rally together, we need to be around each other.
“We know it can be difficult times. And when it’s difficult times, that’s when we need to pull through, show our character and make sure we turn around and have a good result going into the break.
“Personally, I know I need to do better if the manager gives me another chance on Sunday. I’ll make sure I do better than what I did on Thursday and all I need to take from it is to move on with the rest of the team and make sure we put things right on Sunday when we play Falkirk.
“It wasn’t what we were hoping for, obviously. We had a game plan that we obviously didn’t stick to, the way that we wanted to do it.
“I thought, we sort of didn’t get going, personally, there was a lot of duels at was back that I should be doing a lot better to understand.
“It was a really disappointing night. It’s a night that we expected more from. So we came away very disappointed.”
