Having already tied Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai down to new long-term contracts in 2026, Liverpool look set to work on agreeing their next batch of potential agreements in the next months.
While Liverpool would have been disappointed to suffer their second Premier League defeat of the season against Arsenal on Sunday, meaning they have now lost at Anfield to the reigning champions and Manchester City, it has been more positive for them in the Champions League.
The Reds moved back up to second in the table on Wednesday night after they beat Fenerbahce in Istanbul, extending their 100% record from four fixtures in Europe to date.
With Gravenberch ruled out after suffering a fresh injury issue, Trey Nyoni once again started for the Merseysiders against the Turkish giants, with the Athletic reporting earlier on Wednesday that the exciting teenager is now in advanced talks to extend his contract at Anfield.
The 19-year-old was handed his first Premier League start of the season by Andoni Iraola against the Gunners on the weekend, making 12 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool this term in what is proving to be a true breakthrough season for him.
Liverpool will be delighted if they can tie the Leicester-born talent down to a new deal, given he has arguably outshone the likes of Gravenberch and Szoboszlai in the middle of the park for the Reds this term.
Nyoni's ability to sit deep in the midfield has also helped Florian Wirtz thrive in the final third, as it has reduced the amount of defensive work he has to do.
His contribution clearly hasn't gone unnoticed by the Reds' hierarchy, but they have more big decisions to make heading into 2027.
The contracts of Virgil van Dijk and Alisson are both up at the end of the season, with no progress or update yet on whether two players who have been so key to Liverpool's recent success will be staying at Anfield.
Others are out of contract in the summer too, including Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas, while they must decide whether they will try and make Ronald Araujo's loan move from Barcelona permanent.
Liverpool must also decide midfielder Alexis Mac Allister's future one way or the other next year.
Mac Allister dropped a bombshell earlier in the season when he said he was 'sad' that Liverpool had told him they were unable to offer him a new contract like they had done with Szoboszlai and Gravenberch.
The Argentina international still has 18 months remaining on his contract on Merseyside, but it feels like 2027 is the decision time for club and player as to what comes next.
Liverpool's stance in the summer would suggest they aren't currently planning to extend his contract, which has been confirmed by GIVEMESPORT sources, but they should be reconsidering their stance.

While players like Gravenberch, Szoboszlai and Van Dijk have struggled at times this season under Iraola, Mac Allister has been one of the club's most consistent and important players.
The 27-year-old may be putting himself in the shop window if he believes Liverpool won't offer him a new deal, but there will be no shortage of suitors based on what he is producing in a red shirt right now.
Mac Allister has made no secret of the fact he loves the club and would like to stay at Anfield, and Liverpool need to quickly realise just how good and important Mac Allister is to their success.

Not only is he performing consistently as a central midfield player, but he is also bringing goals under Iraola, including a brace in their 4-3 Champions League win against Villarreal.
As things stand, Mac Allister is more important than Nyoni for the Merseysiders, and he should be rewarded accordingly.
The Argentine has everything to be a big success in an Iraola team, and now Liverpool deal-makers must offer him whatever he wants to keep him at Anfield.
