Martin O’Neill has eased fears over Callum Osmand after the Celtic youngster was forced off during the 2-1 defeat to Celta Vigo at Celtic Park.
The sight of the forward going down caused concern, especially after his recent injury issues and the fact he had only just returned to first-team action.

But O’Neill confirmed after the match that Osmand was only dealing with cramp.
Asked about the youngster’s condition, O’Neill said: (BBC Sport), “Yeah, he was cramping.
“That’s totally understandable. Really understandable from his viewpoint. That’s what he is fine.
“He’s had very little football. He’s been injured since the start of the season.
“He’s coming round. He’s done really well for us.
“Each time he was moving in the last three or four minutes, he was just cramping.”
That will come as a relief ahead of Sunday’s trip to Easter Road to face Hibernian.
He has been used from the left rather than through the middle, and his direct running has given Celtic a different option in attack.
Against Celta, he again looked sharp in spells before his night ended early. He gave Celtic an outlet down the left and was involved in some of the better first-half moments.
O’Neill’s comments suggest there is no fresh injury concern, but Celtic will still have to manage him carefully.
The Hibs match now comes quickly after another draining European night, and Osmand has not played much football this season.
Celtic need a response at Easter Road after losing again in Europe. Having Osmand available would give O’Neill another attacking option at a time when the squad is still being stretched.
