After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Celtic know that Martin O'Neill will not be their manager once this season comes to an end, and it's just a matter of whether or not he can see out the season or not.
The iconic club manager has struggled this season, having returned for two separate interim stints last season to guide the club to a fifth consecutive Scottish Premiership title, before taking on the job permanently on a one-year deal.
But many believe that may have been a bad decision, with O'Neill seeing a number of poor results this season, and many players seemingly believing that the modern game may have passed him and his methods by.
There were strong rumours that the manager was considering his position during the most recent international break, after three consecutive defeats against Rangers (twice) and Ferencvaros, but he instead opted to stick around.
Since then, Celtic have beaten Motherwell and Hearts in the league, but been comfortably beaten by Benfica and Celta Vigo in the Europa League. That has meant that talks over his future haven't gone away, and a number of names continue to be linked with the role of replacing him.
Robbie Keane and Kieran McKenna were among previous targets who were rumoured to be being considered once again, but a fresh report claims that Everton boss David Moyes is also a target.
The Scot is into the final year of his contract at Everton, and there have been no talks of a renewal yet on Merseyside. His future has been further thrown into doubt after the club's owners, The Friedkin Group, put the club up for sale.
Now, speaking on the Football Insider podcast, journalist Pete O'Rourke has issued an update and claims that the whispers of a potential move across the border for Moyes are not dying down.
"There's been talk of David Moyes as well if he becomes a free agent next summer, and those whispers aren't dying down.
"Could he be somebody who could step in and replace Martin O'Neill when he leaves Celtic? He's a very experienced manager and somebody who has got links with Celtic as well.
"He might be one that the club could look at to come in and be a steady pair of hands just to take over the club.
"A lot will depend on what happens with his contract situation at Everton and whether they can reach an agreement with him there.
"We'll wait and see if they do go down the route of looking for a long-term replacement for Martin O'Neill, and which other managers they could be targeting as well."
Moyes has had a long career at the top level and has succeeded almost everywhere he has gone. Man Utd, Real Sociedad, and Sunderland were difficult times for the veteran, but he has found his groove again since joining West Ham, where he helped them win their first-ever European trophy.
Since returning to Everton, he has made them a steady mid-table club, rather than a relegation-battling side, and with his 64th birthday approaching before the end of the season, he will want one more push at the top level.
A move to Celtic will see him competing for titles that his career deserves, but will also see him able to adopt the underdog status he loves in big European games, and potentially give the team a solid foundation to finally improve in that area. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall described him as 'relentless' and that type of drive is exactly what Celtic need.
His career speaks for itself, and Celtic could do with a proven manager to come in and keep things steady while also improving the team. Moyes ticks those boxes, and this could be the perfect next step for everyone.
