Manchester City are back on the road this lunchtime as they visit Aston Villa in the Premier League. The Blues are in good form after back-to-back wins in all competitions, peaking with a comprehensive 5-1 victory over AEK Athens in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Perhaps the most pleasing element of that win was the amount of changes City made, without losing quality. Enzo Maresca flexed his squad depth at the Etihad Stadium as he allowed the likes of Erling Haaland and Marc Guehi to rest ahead of this weekend's trip to Villa Park.
Ahead of the match, MEN Sport has taken a look at the latest injury news and potential return dates among the City squad.
Injury: Foot
Haaland walked straight down the tunnel last Saturday after injuring his foot late on vs Ipswich. The forward was then given a rest against AEK but Maresca confirmed he would be fit for today's game. "Erling is the only one who is 100 per cent available," Maresca said on Thursday.
Potential return date: October 24 vs Aston Villa

Injury: Groin
In his pre-match press conference, Maresca admitted that Nunes, who felt his groin against Ipswich, was one of three players he was unsure about ahead of the trip to Villa. "We have a session this afternoon. They could all be available or not. They are still doubts. Yesterday they were all improving and we will see this afternoon [Thursday]." Nunes was not spotted in training on Thursday, but this does not necessarily rule him out for today's game.
Potential return date: October 24 vs Aston Villa
Injury: Back
O'Reilly was forced off against Ipswich after feeling his back. Like Nunes, Maresca was waiting until after Thursday's training session to make a decision on his fitness levels. O'Reilly was seen training with the squad on Thursday.
Potential return date: October 24 vs Aston Villa
Injury: Unknown
Kovacic was the first player to come off during the win over Ipswich. He is the third player that Maresca has to make a late decision on. Kovacic was seen training with the squad on Thursday, suggesting he could be fit again.
Potential return date: October 24 vs Aston Villa
Injury: Back
There were some concerns about Gvardiol's fitness after he came off against AEK. However, Maresca confirmed that his issue was not considered serious. The City boss told TNT Sports on Tuesday that Gvardiol was fine.
Potential return date: October 24 vs Aston Villa
Injury: Leg
Semenyo is the sole long-term absentee in the City squad. Maresca confirmed on Monday that he will be sidelined until December: "In the first moment we expect an even worse injury so we were more worried but after the scan we are less worried. It could be eight weeks.
"Now the most important thing is to recover it. When he is back, around December, we have a new player. It's not muscular."
