Christian Horner has spoken about the support he received from his wife as he dealt with a turbulent period that included allegations about his behaviour and the eventual end of his 21-year career with Red Bull.
The 52-year-old described Geri Halliwell-Horner as an "absolute rock", saying the intense scrutiny they faced during his final years with the Formula 1 team ultimately brought them closer together.
Speaking to the i Paper, Mr Horner said: "She’s got incredible strength and resilience."
He said: "So I’m enormously grateful for the support that she’s given to me even on the difficult days. She’s been phenomenal, and I think having experienced the highs and lows of media scrutiny, she has resilience."
Mrs Halliwell-Horner publicly supported her husband during the controversy, including walking into the paddock alongside him at the Bahrain Grand Prix after allegations concerning his behaviour were made by a Red Bull employee.
Mr Horner said: "Walking into the paddock in Bahrain must have been immensely difficult for her because she’s a public person in her own right."
The allegations against him were ultimately dismissed following an investigation.
Mr Horner was later removed from his position at Red Bull in 2025, ending a hugely successful 21-year spell with the team.
During his time in charge, Red Bull recorded 124 victories, six constructors' championships and eight drivers' titles.
