Tyson Fury is set to face Anthony Joshua on December 11
Tyson Fury may be nursing an injury ahead of his highly anticipated bout with Anthony Joshua and could potentially withdraw from the fight. That's the word from former heavyweight world champion Frank Bruno, who has been picking up some worrying whispers in the gym.
The two heavyweight titans are set to settle their long-standing rivalry on December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. However, with just weeks remaining until the all-British heavyweight clash, the fight could be under threat, with legendary boxer Bruno having heard some troubling rumours.
Appearing on Fight Your Corner, in partnership with Midnite, Bruno and former cruiserweight Tony Bellew discussed Joshua's prospects of dethroning the 'Gypsy King.'

"He's a very, very good guy, Anthony Joshua. He's got a puncher's chance against Fury, but Fury is a very difficult guy," said Bruno, to which Bellew responded: "You've summed it up perfectly. I think that AJ doesn't win this fight on points. He can only win it by knockout.
"And I think Tyson Fury is a very good boxer, but he's shown vulnerabilities and he's only getting at this age and at this part of your career, you're not getting quicker. You're only getting slower."
It was at that point that Bruno appeared to hint that Fury might be dealing with some kind of injury.
"I looked at him the other day and I think someone was talking to me in the gym that he's got some injury, which may stop him from going into the fight with Anthony Joshua? And having that on your head ain't nice," he said.
Bellew responded: "He plays up to the camera, Frank. I think he wants to, you know, he's going to be saying certain things. I do think Tyson Fury is the master of the mind games. Yeah, he's very, very good at it. Very, very good at the mind games."
Speaking further about Fury's behaviour before fights, Bruno said: "I see him at the press conferences and he really says crazy things that get right under your skin. Very controversial what he says, and no one's ever going to agree with everything he says, but one thing that we can all agree on is he's a world-class fighter.
"Yeah, he's a brilliant boxer. Very, very good. I mean, it's abnormal that he can move the way he moves at 20 stone."
So far, Fury hasn't given any sign that he'll be withdrawing from the lucrative bout next month. The card is beginning to take shape after Wednesday afternoon's announcement that cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia will be stepping up to heavyweight to face former champion Deontay Wilder.
