The Los Angeles Rams’ season has been a difficult one – but help could be on the way.
The LA Rams are 4-4 for the season heading into their Week 9 matchup against the Washington Commanders.
The team’s star wide receiver Davante Adams is out with injury, but an even bigger absence has been newly acquired defensive end Myles Garrett.
Garrett has been out with an injury since the start of the season, and he has been practising ahead of a possible return against the Commanders.
Speaking to the St. Brown podcast, Rams safety Quentin Lake said he is excited about Garrett’s return, and described him as the ‘LeBron James of football’.
Lake said about Garrett’s possible return: “We’re hoping MG. You know, that isn’t breaking news, but that’s the first time I said to myself that God doesn’t make all men the same.
“The dude is f****** different. AD [Aaron Donald] was different, but he’s not too big, MG is like the LeBron James of football it is ridiculous bro.
“The way he is built and what he can do on the field, it’s wild. People haven’t seen it yet. He’s going to f******* tear that s*** up when he comes back.”

There was a lot of excitement about the LA Rams’ defense heading into the season, with Aaron Donald coming out of retirement to play alongside Garrett.
This partnership has not had a chance to flourish yet. Donald sat out the season-opener in Australia, where Garrett got injured.
Lake believes the season can turn in the Rams favor when Garrett returns, adding: “What I’m saying is I wouldn’t be surprised if we go on a run for sure.”
