Bedale started well but with yet another new centre-back partnership. Josh Proud and Issac Tate were paired due to players being unavailable.
Bedale had three chances ruled offside before New Marske's physical presence gained control of the game, and the rest of the first half had Bedale on the defensive; so it was no surprise when New Marske broke the deadlock when a shot from Lewis Reeve clipped off Tate and ricocheted past Dylan Bradford in the Bedale goal to give New Marske a deserved 1-0 lead at half time.
Bedale manager Dave Proud made two substitutions at half time, bringing on Charlie Chandler and Luke Greenslade, who was returning from injury.
This sparked an immediate change with Bedale pinning New Marske in their own half, and eventually the pressure forced an equaliser when Harry Chandler reacted first to a loose ball and hammered home from 10 yards out.
Valiant defending by New Marske led to a string of Bedale corners, one of which led to Josh Proud bundling Bedale's second over the line from two yards out in the 72nd minute.
Next it was leading goalscorer Charlie Chandler, whose striker's instinct led to him scoring two in two minutes to seal the game for Bedale.
In spite of the second-half turnaround, it was a very competitive game with referee Paul Iley having a busy afternoon, clocking up seven yellow cards.
The win leaves Bedale third in the league table.
Charlie Chandler was voted man of the match, and Bedale are at home against Richmond Town Reserves tomorrow, Saturday, November 7, in the North Riding Challenge Cup in a 2pm kick-off.
