During the recent men’s international window, Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot represented Portugal, while Senne Lammens and Youri Tielemans featured for Belgium.
Patrick Dorgu was also involved with Denmark, highlighting the range of national teams drawing on United’s first-team talent.
On the women’s side, England’s senior squad has also included United players Ella Toone, Maya Le Tissier and Jess Park.
The next generation is now getting its opportunity to make an impression on the international stage.
Manchester United midfielder Grace Taylor has been named in England Under-17 head coach Kerri Welsh’s 24-player squad for Thursday’s international friendly against Belgium, as England announced on their website.
The Young Lionesses will host Belgium this Thursday, and the fixture is designed to help England prepare for the first round of UEFA Women’s Under-17 European Championship qualifying, which takes place next month.
Grace Taylor is listed among the midfielders in Welsh’s squad, which features players from clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.
England have been drawn in Group A7 for the upcoming qualifying campaign, where they will face Belarus, Hungary and Denmark.
Taylor’s selection is another opportunity for United’s women’s development pathway to gain international recognition.
The club operates a girls’ academy that spans several age groups, with its Professional Game Academy covering the Under-16 and Under-21 levels before players aim to progress towards senior football.
For Grace Taylor, the Belgium fixture offers a chance to impress at international level as England build towards a qualifying campaign with a place at the European Championship in Finland at stake next year.
Her inclusion adds another name to United’s growing list of young players gaining experience within England’s national-team system.
