Leeds United's next three games
Leeds United have made a positive start to the Premier League season, of that there is little doubt. A return of 10 points from seven games puts Daniel Farke's men firmly on course to comfortably reach the first target of securing their safety and a third successive season in the top flight.
From there, Leeds hope to push on and finish as high up the league ladder as possible, with even some suggestions a European place could be up for grabs this season.
To do that, the Whites need to start putting some wins together. For all the positivity, which is justifiable after a five-game unbeaten start to the season, the fact remains Leeds have won just one of their last six games in the league.
In defence of the team, draws with high-flying Brentford and Brighton, as well as a point against Manchester United, are solid results and there's no insinuation of concern surrounding the lack of victories. The players have performed well as was evident in a defeat to champions Arsenal, which could easily have brought three points let alone another draw.

However, if Leeds are going to be a top half club and kick on from last season, they need to start turning some of the draws into victories and put a number of wins back-to-back to make any significant impact on the table. With another international break looming large on the horizon and the opportunity that brings to take stock and re-evaluate, Leeds have a great opportunity to increase the win column before the players part ways again for two weeks.
In the three games before the break Leeds take on three sides who currently occupy a place in the bottom six. Of course that doesn't mean they have easy games, but it does suggest points, and wins, are more up for grabs than a run that features three games against teams in the top six.
Leeds United's next three games
It starts with a trip to Sunderland on Sunday, who are currently struggling to juggle the demands of European football alongside their Premier League campaign amid some significant injury problems. With the Black Cats travelling back from Poznan late on Thursday evening and having just one session to get ready for hosting Leeds on Sunday, it appears a great opportunity for Farke's team against a side who have been beaten five times in seven league games so far.
The Whites face back-to-back away games, with a trip to Bournemouth after their North East encounter. Bournemouth have also only won once in the league this season and while that actually came last time out against 10-man Sunderland, their early-season results suggest they have some improvements to make.
Ending the series of matches before the break is a return to Elland Road to face Tottenham Hotspur. Tottenham boss Roberto de Zerbi eased some of the pressure on him with a first win of the season at the weekend and Spurs are boosted by some key returning players. Where they will find themselves by the time this game comes around is anyone's guess, but at home, Leeds will fancy their chances against anyone and unlike they did against Crystal Palace before the last break, Farke's team can head into a two week break on a real positive note.
With just three league wins between them so far, the next three opponents have endured difficult starts to the campaign. Leeds need to take advantage, and if they can do that, a positive start to the season will take on a whole new meaning by the time the season kicks back into gear once again in late November with a testing trip to Chelsea.
