Pundit “HTO” was on the Overlap this week talking tactics, and he gave some interesting thoughts on Josh Acheampong.

The defender has played two Premier League starts in a row and could get a third this weekend against Sputs.

“Josh Acheampong has proven to be a bit of a monster, to be fair,” the pundit explained.

“He’s got such an interesting profile. He’s got extremely long leg but he’s really technical. His runs off the ball are incredible. I love the way he uses his hips to bounce off players. I love how his close control is, he doesn’t look clumsy for a big man.

“His off the ball, his physicality is incredible.  He’s been played in a back three, he’s been played elsewhere, middle centre back, right centre back… but this right back position really does suit him, and it gets the best out of him.”

He went on to compare him to the long-legged “stallion” defenders currently excelling in the Premier League like Riccardo Calafiori.
