India National Cricket Team opening batter Abhishek Sharma has produced yet another stunning batting performance in the ongoing five-match T20I series against the New Zealand National Cricket Team. Abhishek Sharma smashed a sensational century in just 35 balls during India’s successful chase against New Zealand on Tuesday (October 27) in Wellington.
The left-handed batter once again showed why he is one of the most dangerous players in T20 cricket, taking the New Zealand bowlers to the cleaners with his fearless strokeplay. With his dominance in the powerplay, Abhishek registered the second-highest score by an Indian batter in the first six overs of a T20 International. Earlier, India created a world record: Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi slam fastest 100, biggest powerplay score.
Abhishek Sharma first smashed his fifty off 15 balls and then struck a 35-ball hundred against New Zealand as India successfully chased down 199 runs in the third T20I in Wellington. He attacked from the start and put the New Zealand bowling attack under pressure with his aggressive approach.
