Jaguars have slight drop in AFC playoff standings during bye week

Coming out of the bye week, where do the Jacksonville Jaguars now stand in the competitive AFC playoff race?

While there is still a long way to go in the season, it's never too early to keep an eye on the standings.

When it comes to the division, the Jaguars got a lot of help with Houston, Indianapolis, and Tennessee all losing. At 4-2, Jacksonville leads the way in the South, while Houston and Indianapolis are 2-5.

In the overall AFC playoff picture, the Jaguars dropped from the three seed to the four seed, being passed by the Browns, who improved to 5-2 after beating Tennessee.

The Chiefs suffered their first loss of the year and are 5-1 at the top of the conference. Buffalo is the two-seed at 5-1 as well.

Right behind the Jaguars are the 5-2 Broncos and Steelers, along with the 4-2 Bengals. New England and Baltimore are each 4-3 and on the outside looking in at the playoffs if the season were to end today.
