Warren Bondo returned to training with AC Milan earlier this month, but he’s not seen as part of the team, remaining unregistered.
In the summer, Milan attempted to part ways with Bondo, even putting him into the ‘bomb squad’ category. He was separated from the rest of the squad and it was made clear that he would not be a part of the team if he remained.
However, the threat of legal action made the Rossoneri backtrack on this position, so he was reintroduced earlier this month. Bondo, as a report suggested, wants to make a statement too, hoping to get back into the team.
Yet, it seems unlikely, with Ruben Amorim not willing to register him for the season.
A departure is still probable in the future and Nicolo Schira has provided an update on his situation, with one team already enquiring ahead of the January mercato, as PianetaMilan relayed.
“Bologna have enquired about Warren Bondo, who isn’t part of AC Milan’s plans and is ready to leave in January. The Rossoblu are considering a loan with an option to buy. The midfielder has had an excellent relationship with coach Palladino since they were together at Monza.”
Working with Raffaele Palladino could certainly help revive his career, but whether he’d be able to reach the heights once expected is debatable.
