Quante Berry powers Lamar past Schreiner 124-62 in opener

BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) Quante Berry scored 22 points as Lamar Cardinals beat Schreiner Mountaineers 124-62 on Monday in the season opener for both teams.

Berry shot 9 for 17 from the field, including 3 for 6 from beyond the arc, for the Cardinals. Filip Radakovic scored 18 points while shooting 7 for 9 from the field and 4 for 5 from the line, and added 13 rebounds. Mike Collins had 18 points and shot 6 for 11 from the field and 6 for 10 from the line.

Dylan Snow finished with 15 points and four assists for the Mountaineers. Carson Diamond added 10 points for Schreiner. Camden Hyman also had nine points and two steals.
