Jeff Hardy may take time away from the ring to address an ongoing neck injury, according to his brother and tag team partner, Matt Hardy.
Speaking on a recent episode of his podcast, Matt discussed the possibility of Jeff stepping away temporarily to focus on his health. The TNA star has reportedly been dealing with a bulging neck issue for approximately a year.
Matt’s comments come as the Hardy Boyz continue their run in TNA Wrestling. The legendary tag team has remained active despite Jeff’s reported discomfort. However, a potential break could affect their plans moving forward.
While Matt did not confirm that Jeff would definitely take time off, he said his brother would consider the possibility as he looks for ways to address the persistent issue.
Matt Hardy discussed the situation while reflecting on what his own future character might look like, particularly if Jeff takes time away from wrestling.
“I don’t know. It’s gonna be interesting to see what my next character is, especially if Jeff takes a little time off, you know, to try and work on his neck a little bit,” Matt said.
When asked whether he believed Jeff could step away, Matt acknowledged the possibility.
“He might,” Matt responded.
Matt then explained that the issue has been bothering Jeff for around a year. He suggested his brother has done what he can to manage the problem so far. Nevertheless, a break could allow him to explore further treatment options.
“It’s just that nagging, you know, just he’s had this bulging [disc] that’s just been bugging him,” Matt said. “It’s been a year now since he’s had this bulging [disc], and he’s going to, you know, I think he’s done everything he can to do in his power.”
Matt added that Jeff may take some time away to explore solutions and correct the problem as much as possible.
