With Duke’s Friday night victory over Virginia in Charlottesville, the Blue Devils are one win away from bowl eligibility for the fifth straight season, a program record.
The Blue Devils relied on a tough defensive effort, a rushing touchdown from Nate Sheppard, and a passing touchdown from the running back on a trick play late in the fourth quarter to defeat Virginia, 19-16. Duke returns home on Saturday to host Boston College, who pulled off an upset against North Carolina this past weekend.
The latest bowl projections show Manny Diaz’s team traveling in every direction to play a wide range of teams from multiple conferences in the postseason. Here they are after Week 8 of the 2026 season.
