The start time for Alexander Volkanovski vs Movsar Evloev at UFC 333 has been revealed, and it will be music to the ears of fans in the United Kingdom.
On Saturday night, UFC 333 will take place inside the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with Volkanovski taking on unbeaten Evloev in a much-anticipated featherweight championship bout.
Meanwhile, the co-main event will be a bantamweight championship fight between reigning two-time champion Petr Yan and ex-champion Merab Dvalishvili.
The likes of Lone’er Kavanagh, Ramazan Temirov, Alexander Volkov, Rizvan Kuniev, Aaron Pico and Losene Keita will also be in action on what is billed to be a brilliant night of UFC in Abu Dhabi.
Ahead of the event, the exact start time for the fight between Volkanovski and Evloev has been revealed.
According to The Independent, the early prelims at UFC 333 will begin at 3pm BST (7am PT / 9am CT / 10am ET). At 5pm BST (9am PT / 11am CT / 12pm ET), the regular prelims will kick off.
After the early prelims and regular prelims are done, the main card will then commence at 7pm BST (11am PT / 1pm CT / 2pm ET). The main attraction of the night is scheduled to get underway at 9:30pm in the UK.
Already considered one of the best featherweights of all time, Volkanovski has the chance to put himself top of the tree if he manages to beat Evloev on Saturday night.
Winning against the unbeaten Russian will secure Volkanovski a record-breaking ninth win in UFC featherweight title fights, surpassing Brazilian legend Jose Aldo, whom people regard as the greatest featherweight of all time.
However, speaking ahead of the fight, Volkanovski refused to enter the chat about who is the greatest featherweight of all time.
As reported by BBC Sport, the Australian stated that he is not ‘fussed’ about titles, as he is purely driven by facing new challenges.
Volkanovski said: “I think a lot of fighters don't like answering these questions; I'll leave everyone else to make these decisions.
“I'm not fussed about belts, title defences, numbers and all that. When I say I don't care - it is cool, but that's not what drives me. I'm not driven by getting the most title wins. I get more drive for the challenges and getting through those challenges.”
He added: “The things I'm doing at this age and how I'm doing it, is the real depth.
“When people throw out 'he's old' - I'm loving that. I want people thinking I'm too old and declining because when I overcome and get through, it's like 'how's he still doing it?' I'll play into that 100%.”
