RAF 15 has a new main event – again.
Less than a week ago, the freestyle wrestling promotion officially announced Henry Cejudo vs. Song Yadong as the main event of the card taking place Nov. 28 at NOW Arena in Chicago. Now, that match has been bumped to the co-feature, making way for a new headliner.
The marquee slot now belongs to Arman Tsarukyan, who will take on former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis. The match will be for Tsarukyan's middleweight crossover title. The promotion officially announced the new matchup Tuesday.
Pettis was originally slated to face fellow promotional newcomer and UFC Hall of Famer Donald Cerrone at the event, but now he'll wrestle for RAF hardware in the headliner. "Showtime" was last in combat sports action in July 2024, when he lost a six-round decision to Chris Avila in a boxing match under Nate Diaz's Real Fight Inc. banner.
Tsarukyan won the middleweight crossover title by easily handing Dillon Danis a tech fall loss at RAF 14. The UFC's No. 1-ranked lightweight contender also has a match scheduled at RAF Abu Dhabi on Nov. 14 against Neiman Gracie.
