Hakin were 2-0 winners over Monkton Swifts, while Narberth beat Merlins Bridge by the same scoreline.

The Vikings had lost to the Swifts the last time they met in the Senior Cup last season but were keen to get some revenge.

Cam Brunton gave them the lead in the 26th minute with an excellent free kick.

Both sides had chances to score throughout the game, with Swifts' Declan Carroll seeing a free kick hit the crossbar while Hakin's Mark Jones saw a header cleared off the line.

As Monkton searched for a late equaliser, it was Hakin who scored again as Ryan Wilson scored in the fifth minute of time added on to seal the win.

Narberth took the lead in their game with just over half an hour played thanks to a goal from sub Ashley Williams.

The Wizards looked for a leveller in the second half, but it was Narberth who scored again, with Lloyd Hughes getting the goal that would seal the points in the 79th minute.

On Saturday, November 7, the sides are in action in the second round of the West Wales Cup.

Narberth visit Neath Premier side Bryncoch and Merlins Bridge host Swansea Senior League Division 2 side Morriston Sports.

Hakin United visit Carmarthenshire Premier side Caerbryn and Saron while Monkton visit fellow Pembrokeshire side Solva.
