Dallas Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb didn’t miss a chance to take a shot at the Philadelphia Eagles after their MNF win, and NFL fans can’t agree on whether it was okay.

It is a tough time to be a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. The team fell to a 2-5 record after their latest loss against their division rivals, the Dallas Cowboys. Things are likely to only get worse from here too, with star quarterback Jalen Hurts set to miss at least the entirety of this season with his health issues.

For the Cowboys, this was a much-needed win against a fierce rival. They have struggled in the last few weeks, losing winnable games and failing to get the job done. So it would make sense that getting this win resulted in some extra celebration from their stars. However, CeeDee Lamb’s particular choice of celebration is causing some debate online.

CeeDee Lamb was mocking the ‘Fly, Eagles, Fly’ celebration on the field and some fans think it wasn’t a classy move

All sports have certain unwritten rules and expectations that the players are expected to follow. When to celebrate, how to celebrate, how much to celebrate, all fall into this category. However, not everyone agrees on these and a fair few people don’t even subscribe to the notion.

Dallas beating an extremely injured Philly side ideally shouldn’t warrant too much celebration, but that doesn’t take into account their rivalry. So when CeeDee mocked the team with a ‘Fly, Eagles, Fly’ celebration of his own, it caused some debate online.

“CeeDee Lamb mocks the Eagles as he walks onto the field after the Cowboys win. Extremely disrespectful,” one fan wrote. “Cowboys beating the eagles 4th and 5th string team is their Super Bowl. Classless,” another said. “Frontrunning when we don’t have Hurts. Read the room,” a third fan wrote.

“It’s absolutely impossible to be disrespectful to an Eagles fan,” a fourth fan commented, sharing the opposite view. “There is absolutely nothing bad about that at all,” another claimed. “Nah! Everyone knows Philly fans are the worst. It’s nice to see them get what they give,” a sixth fan said.

Whether Lamb was right to do what he did or not is a matter of personal opinion for every fan. Some are going to love it, and some will think that it is uncalled for. What remains unchanged is the result. As of Monday, the Cowboys have earned the right to celebrate, whatever the circumstances may be.
