Bears offense did things no other team has vs. Seahawks defense

The Seattle Seahawks are one of the best defenses in the NFL. However, they did not look like it against the Chicago Bears, who earned a massive 34-17 win at Lumen Field on Monday night.

From the Bears’ first offensive drive of the game, it looked like Chicago’s offense was going to have success against this defense. The Bears started the game with a 17-play drive that included three third-down conversions, a fourth-down conversion and lasted well over eight minutes.

Their second touchdown drive, which came in the third quarter, was similar to their first touchdown drive. It lasted 10 plays and over six minutes. That drive was the first of three that would end in a touchdown for Swift. This actually was one of Swift’s best games of the season since it was his second time in his career with three rushing touchdowns. The first time came in Chicago’s season opener against the Carolina Panthers.

The Bears offense actually accomplished something no other team has been able to do against the Seahawks defense. Chicago became the first team with 200 passing yards (Caleb Williams had 247). the first team with three rushing touchdowns (all by D'Andre Swift) and scored the most points (34) this year.

But it wasn't just Chicago's offense that shined against Seattle. Defensively, the Bears severely outplayed the Seahawks. Seattle's first touchdown just before halftime came on a blown coverage by cornerback Tyrique Stevenson and their second was on a short field following a lost fumble by Bears tight end Colston Loveland. The Seahawks were never able to drive the length of the field as Chicago did.

Special teams also played a key role in the win. Punter Tory Taylor had a punt blocked, but it still traveled 45 yards. Seattle also botched an attempt to pin the Bears inside the five-yard line on the opening drive of the game. Meanwhile, Chicago blocked a 33-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
