The Only Way Is Cup – The FA Cup Travelogue, written by former Redditch resident Ian McNeilly, follows last season's competition across all 14 rounds, covering 20 matches from the early qualifying stages to the final at Wembley.

The book includes Redditch United's second qualifying round match away to Buxton FC, alongside a brief history of the club.

Every Redditch United player involved in the fixture is named in the book, providing a permanent record of their involvement in the competition.

Mr McNeilly, a former English teacher at Studley High School, said: "Things didn't work out for Redditch on the day but they never stopped trying.

"Buxton went on to have a good run all the way to the second round proper."

The book combines match reports with football history and accounts of the towns, cities and grounds visited during the author's journey.

Mr McNeilly said one of his aims was to encourage football supporters to visit smaller clubs and grounds further down the football pyramid.

He hopes the book will encourage readers to discover non-league football and support local teams.

As well as covering matches, the publication includes full team listings from each fixture attended.

The Only Way Is Cup – The FA Cup Travelogue is available for £14.99 via the Bannister Publications website.
