The Trail Blazers are coming off a 138-120 win against the Sacramento Kings, improving to 2-0.

Last season, Portland made the playoffs for the first time since the 2020-2021 season, powered by the emergence of a young core.
Avdija, who is coming off the best season of his career, earned his first career All-Star selection, averaging a career-high 24.2 points per game and 6.7 assists per game.
Donovan Clingan, now in his third NBA season, led the league in offensive rebounds per game (4.5), while Camara continued to establish himself as one of Portland’s top defenders, leading the team in steals the last two seasons.
The Trail Blazers, led by new head coach Micah Nori, look to build on last season’s success with the return of Damian Lillard, the franchise’s all-time leading scorer.
The 14-year veteran missed all of last season while recovering from a torn Achilles suffered in April 2025 during his time with Milwaukee.
The Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz 132-123 on Sunday, improving to 3-0.
Luka Doncic scored a game-high 52 points and had 10 assists and eight rebounds. It was the first 50-point game of the season.

The performance comes just days after Doncic took out a full-page ad in the LA Times ahead of the Laker’s season-opener.
“We have a special team. We know what you expect, and we are going to do everything in our power to deliver it,” Doncic said.
”...So here is my promise to you: we are going to give you everything we have, every single night. No excuses. No nights off.”
Now in his second full season with the Lakers, Doncic is averaging 34.3 points, 8.0 assists and 7.3 rebounds per game.
