‘You Need Serious Help,’ ‘Weird’ — NFL Fans Slam Jason Whitlock for Claiming ‘Jalen Hurts Is Being Positioned To Run for President’

Jason Whitlock has apparently started scouting Jalen Hurts for an entirely different job. His latest theory puts the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback on a path toward the White House.

The suggestion drew plenty of attention, though several fans responding had questions about Whitlock’s reasoning. Some could barely believe he was being serious.

Jason Whitlock’s Jalen Hurts Theory Draws Sharp Pushback

Whitlock shared his claim alongside a video, pointing to Hurts’ affiliations and management team as supposed clues about his future.

“Jalen Hurts is being positioned to run for president. From Greek affiliation to the all-female management team… it’s all connected,”Whitlock wrote.

The post presented those details as evidence of a larger plan. It did not identify a campaign, an announcement from Hurts or anyone organizing a presidential bid. The claim remains Whitlock’s speculation.

The replies were blunt.

“You need serious help,”one fan wrote.

“You weird as [expletive],”another user added.

Another commenter struggled to determine whether Whitlock intended the post as a joke.

“[expletive] bro, I can’t tell if this is a troll or if you’re dead [expletive] serious,”the fan wrote.

Radio host Nick Kayal also weighed in with a mocking reference to a neurological condition.

“Starting to think Jason Whitlock has CTE,”Kayal wrote.

That was a personal jab, not a medical assessment. Other respondents kept their criticism short.

“You are a complete fool,”one user wrote.

“You’re insane, Jason,”another added.

Hurts’ Health Remains the Immediate Concern

Whitlock’s political speculation arrived during a serious discussion about Hurts’ medical care. The quarterback has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and blood clots in both lungs following an initial diagnosis of a superficial clot before Philadelphia’s game in London.

ESPN analyst Louis Riddick has urged broadcasters tolet medical experts lead the discussion about Hurts’ condition. The NFL Players Association has called for an investigation, and commissioner Roger Goodell said on Wednesday that he welcomed an inquiry while defending the league’s medical procedures.

Before his absence, Hurts ranked No. 22 with a 69.6 grade inPFN’s Quarterback Impact Rankings through Week 6. His recovery now takes priority over his place in that table.

There are concrete questions to answer about his treatment and eventual return to football. Whitlock’s post added a presidential theory to the conversation without establishing that Hurts has any such plans. The replies showed just how little patience these respondents had for that leap.
