Talk immediately turned to what’s next for Petr Yan after his win at UFC 333.

What’s next for Petr Yan?

Top bantamweight contender Song Yadong was in the crowd at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi.

UFC commentator Daniel Cormier tried to get Petr Yan to call out the Chinese superstar during their post-fight interview.

“I do not pick fights,” the Russian fan favorite insisted.

“This organization puts the next contender in front of me, and I’m ready to fight with any of them.”

A rematch with Sean O’Malley seems the biggest fight available to Yan following UFC 333.

‘Suga’, who beat Yadong earlier this year, also holds a controversial decision win over the 135lb king.

Dana White insisted Yadong or O’Malley will be Yan’s next opponent during a post-fight press conference.

The UFC CEO and his matchmakers will debate their title credentials during the coming months.

“Yeah, well, me and the matchmakers were texting the entire night about Song Yadong and O’Malley,” White told reporters at UFC 333.

“Obviously, both are great options, and it’s a good problem to have to figure out which one of those two would be next.”

Sean O’Malley questioned Petr Yan for not calling him out after his UFC 333 victory.

The former bantamweight champion was waiting for his name to be mentioned and was shocked when Daniel Cormier tried to talk up Song Yadong.

“DC, I don’t know what he’s thinking,” O’Malley said. “He’s asking about Song Yadong. I don’t even know. I’m trying to wrap my head around it. I’m like, ‘Okay, maybe he is next. Wait, I beat him like six or seven months ago.’

“I don’t know. I’m fighting Petr Yan next. I don’t care anymore. Even if they announce Petr vs Song next, I’m still fighting Petr next – that’s how much I’m fighting Petr next… I don’t know what they’re talking about, it’s got to be me and Petr next.

“Song fought Petr on one of my undercards when I defended my championship, and Petr beat Song. I beat Petr. I beat Song. It’s got to be me versus Petr. In the United States in the first or second quarter of next year.”
