The Cleveland Browns made a roster move ahead of their Week 8 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, calling up a practice squad player for what should be an intense divisional clash.
According to KPRC2's Aaron Wilson, the Browns elevated seventh-round rookie tight end Carsen Ryan from their practice squad for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh.
Ryan, who played collegiate football at UCLA (2022–2023), Utah (2024), and BYU (2025), recorded 74 receptions for 1,020 yards and seven touchdowns during his collegiate career.
Ryan, who made Cleveland's initial 53-man roster as a rookie, was released this week but subsequently re-signed with the Browns' practice squad.
Ryan has appeared in six games this season and has played primarily in a special teams capacity for Cleveland, logging 73 special teams snaps compared to just two snaps on offense. Ryan is now set to make his seventh in-game appearance during his rookie season after being elevated for Sunday's matchup against the Steelers.
