Head coach Oliver Glasner has had to contend with mixed news on the injury front ahead of Nottingham Forest’s clash with Brentford.
After bringing a halt to a three-match losing run with last Friday’s 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town, the Reds will be out to go one better in the capital this weekend. They are currently in the Premier League relegation zone and have one win to their name, so will be aiming to put that right against the Bees on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
There was concern over defender Neco Williams when he was forced off in the final minutes at Portman Road after falling awkwardly. The Welshman appeared to be in pain as he left the pitch with his right arm wrapped in his shirt but he has trained all week and is cleared to play in west London.
Two players have question marks against them, however. There is uncertainty over whether midfielder Nicolas Dominguez will be sufficiently recovered from the muscle problem that kept him out last week, while winger Dan Ndoye is also a doubt.

Ndoye has been a key man under Glasner, being first-choice to partner Morgan Gibbs-White in the two No.10 spots. He has been struggling with a hamstring issue since returning from international duty with Switzerland earlier this month.
“He felt after the game, the entire week and also since returning from Switzerland some hamstring fatigue, so he's a doubt,” Glasner said in his pre-match press conference on Thursday. “Let's see if he can train (today, Friday) with the team and doing well without taking any risks. If not, he will miss the game but then he should be OK for Manchester City.”
Forest will definitely be without full-back Nicolo Savona and striker Igor Jesus against Brentford. The latter could return from a calf injury for the clash with City on Saturday week, but with another international break coming up it might be he is not risked.
Savona has not featured since January, having undergone knee surgery. He took a significant step toward making a comeback when he was out on the grass earlier this week but he still has some way to go.
“It was the best news at the beginning of the week that he can be partly integrated,” Glasner said. “But then you could also see the massive difference between individual rehab sessions and team training, because the second day he had to stop. He felt every single muscle because it’s completely different.
“But it’s great to have him back and now it is to build him up after seven months out. We will have a friendly in the international break where he should get the first minutes.”
Brentford also have some injury issues ahead of the weekend. Keith Andrews’ side go into Saturday on the back of a midweek Carabao Cup defeat to Sunderland.
Prior to the meeting with the Black Cats, Andrews said left-back Rico Henry would be “out for a period of weeks” after sustaining a hip and quad injury in training. He is not expected to be back until after the international break.
Kaye Furo (metatarsal) is also sidelined. Andrews said earlier this week: “Kaye is doing really well. He’s been out of his boot for about a week to 10 days. He’s not on the grass yet but is making really good progress and is in good spirits.”
Antoni Milambo (metatarsal) and Josh Dasilva (hamstring) have been making progress in their respective recoveries. Andrews said prior to the Sunderland game: “Antoni trained with the group on Saturday and he’s involved today (Tuesday), so he’s in and around it.
“Josh, similarly to Antoni, was involved with the Saturday session before the Hull game. He’s building, was involved in a bigger session in midweek last week and is making really good strides.”
Yehor Yarmoliuk will definitely not be involved on Saturday. The midfielder is suspended for the clash with the Reds after being sent off in his team’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool earlier this month.
