Sergio Garcia is seeking a return to the PGA Tour after officially confirming his exit from LIV Golf.
Garcia left the PGA Tour to join LIV way back in June 2022 and up until the past few months, he has been one of the league’s loudest cheerleaders.
He has also taken a seriously patronizing and, quite frankly, conceited stance against anyone who dared to speak out against LIV.
However, now that LIV Golf is on its last legs, Sergio Garcia has announced his intentions to return to the PGA Tour.
Scottie rarely travels outside of the United States to compete…
Garcia officially confirmed his exit from LIV on Thursday, while suggesting that he is keeping his ‘options open for a return to the PGA Tour’.
I’m sorry Sergio, but you do not have that option. You lost that privilege four years ago after leaving the PGA Tour and speaking about it in such a detrimental manner.
During Garcia’s last official PGA Tour appearance outside of the majors at the Wells Fargo Championship in May 2022, he was caught on camera letting rip at the officials.
“I can’t wait to leave this tour,“ Garcia exclaimed.

“Can’t wait to get out of here. Just a couple more weeks until I don’t have to deal with [the rules officials] anymore.”
I say Garcia has made his bed and now he should be made to lie in it.
The only reason he has come crawling back now is because there will be seriously diminished purses on LIV 2.0 in 2027 as well as significantly weaker fields.
The Spaniard knew exactly what he was doing when he joined LIV Golf in 2022, and indeed the risk attached to his decision.
Aside from leaving the PGA Tour in order to join a rival organization, the 46-year-old has displayed some truly horrendous behavior out on the golf course, none more so than his angry outburst during the Masters earlier this year when he severely damaged a tee box at Augusta National.
Professional golf does not need Sergio Garcia.
In my opinion, he should be banned from ever playing on the PGA Tour again, as well as every other player who has decided to leave LIV Golf as soon as the Saudis pulled the plug on their financial backing.
