The first practice session, with several rookie drivers participating, in Mexico City is due to take place at 12:30pm local time (6:30pm BST) on Friday.
Three-and-a-half hours later the second practice session will get underway with some more familiar faces in the cars. The likes of Max Verstappen, George Russell and Lando Norris will be absent from FP1 as it is a requirement for each Formula 1 team to run a rookie in a minimum of two practice sessions for both cars.
Red Bull will give Ayumu Iwasa a run out in place of Verstappen - the 25-year-old having already enjoyed practice sessions in Barcelona and Monza. Mercedes' Russell, meanwhile, will watch in the wings as reserve driver, Frederik Vesti, takes to the track.
Norris, who drives for McLaren, meanwhile, will be replaced by Formula 2 champion, Leonardo Fornaroli.
Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari will actually be the only full complete team on the track
