Former Seattle Seahawks safety Rayshawn Jenkins is signing with the Baltimore Ravens, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, adding an experienced defender to a secondary in need of depth.
Jenkins was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers with the No. 113 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons with the Chargers before playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2021-23. Jenkins played for the Seattle Seahawks during the 2024 season, appearing in 13 games and recording two sacks, two tackles for loss, two quarterback hits and a fumble recovery resulting in a touchdown.
In fact, Jenkins' 102-yard return touchdown against the New York Giants remains the longest return touchdown in Seahawks franchise history!
The veteran Jenkins went on to play for the Cleveland Browns in 2025 and most recently the Pittsburgh Steelers this season, where he appeared in six games prior to striking a deal with the Ravens. He has 16 tackles on the current season.
The Ravens are adding an experienced defensive back capable of providing depth and flexibility at safety. His familiarity with different defensive systems and extensive starting experience may help stabilize the secondary as Baltimore looks to improve its defensive consistency with the 4-3 record that it currently has and remain competitive in the AFC playoff race.
