The Kansas City Chiefs terminated the practice squad contract of veteran defensive back Kader Kohou on November 2.
Kansas City's decision to part with Kohou comes just a day after the Chiefs' brutal loss at the hands of the Denver Broncos in Week 8 of the 2026 NFL regular season.
Kohou initially signed with Kansas City earlier this year after a four-season stint with the Miami Dolphins, who initially brought him in as a free agent after the 2022 NFL Draft.
News of the Chiefs' decision to cut Kohou was reported by A to Z Sports NFL Managing Editor Charles Goldman in a post to his official Twitter account:
With Kohou off its payroll, Kansas City will have an opportunity to sign another up-and-coming prospect to its practice squad ahead of the Chiefs' highly anticipated Week 9 matchup against the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, November 8.
