The Philadelphia Eagles inducted owner Jeffrey Lurie into the Eagles Hall of Fame during halftime of the Eagles-Dallas Cowboys game Oct. 26 at Lincoln Financial Field.
Lurie purchased the Eagles in 1994. During his leadership, the Eagles have won two Super Bowls and built Lincoln Financial Field. He also launched the Eagles Autism Foundation in 2019 and oversaw the formation of the Eagles Charitable Foundation in 1995.
"My induction into the Eagles Hall of Fame will always be a moment I look back on with immense pride," Lurie said in a press release from the Eagles. "To join such a legendary group of individuals who have helped shape this franchise is an incredible honor and one that fills me with gratitude."
Lurie also thanked the fans for their support.
"As I expressed on the art museum steps during our parade of champions in February 2018, you are the most passionate and deserving sports fans on the planet. It has been a privilege of a lifetime to lead this organization."
Fan reaction to Lurie was positive at the Linc, but it was about what you'd expect on social media.
