Brodie Dow, from Glasgow's East End, claimed the top spot at the Under-15 Boxing European Championships in Trabzon, Turkey.

The teenager, who trains at the charity-run Bluevale Boxing Club in Dennistoun, demonstrated his talent and dedication to the sport, which he has been involved in since he was nine.

Bluevale Boxing Club, a charity-run free boxing club, operates in an area facing significant socioeconomic challenges, providing young people with access to sport, structure, and a place where they can feel supported and valued.

Brodie's victory was not only a personal triumph but also a proud moment for Glasgow's East End and a shining example to young people across Scotland.

His success is attributed to years of hard work, commitment, and a true passion for boxing.

His journey from Glasgow's East End to the international stage began when he was selected for the prestigious Boxing Scotland Next Generation team.

This selection secured his place among six talented Scottish boxers chosen to represent their country in the Under-15 category at the international tournament in Trabzon.

Competing against some of the finest young boxing talent from countries including Ukraine, Greece, Italy, and Azerbaijan, Brodie demonstrated the courage, composure, and competitive spirit required to succeed at the international level.

The tournament, which reached its climax on October 25, saw three Scottish boxers making it to the finals, securing two silver medals and one gold.

Brodie was the only Scottish boxer to bring gold back to Glasgow's East End, a significant achievement for a young man who continues to represent his club, community, and country with pride.

At Bluevale Boxing Club, Brodie is known for his dedication and commitment to training.

Under the guidance of his coach, Kenny, Brodie has continued to develop as both a boxer and a young person.
