There were just under 18,000 supporters at Easter Road on Sunday as Hibernian welcomed Celtic for a Premiership encounter.
Storm Boelo would have played a part in there being more empty seats than usual, as the weather caused havoc on everyone’s day-to-day plans.
But that isn’t enough of an excuse as to why only 1,500 Celtic supporters were inside Easter Road, as that topic was brought up by Ian Crocker on Sky Sports commentary.
Sky Sports’ leading Scottish commentator rightfully questioned why there was a ‘half empty’ stand next to Celtic away supporters, while Chris Sutton called out the decision not to have more travelling fans in attendance as ‘crazy.’

As mentioned above, Storm Boelo has caused havoc across the UK, and it’s understandable if there are more empty seats than usual.
But that doesn’t mean that the Hoops fans can’t and wouldn’t take more than the 1,699 tickets offered for the trip to Leith.
Ian Crocker: “Well, Celtic only have 1,500 fans at Easter Road. Yet, they are in a stand that is half empty. That makes sense, doesn’t it?!”
Chris Sutton: “It’s crazy, really, isn’t it? Depriving fans who want to come and watch football. It’s not good to see those empty seats.”
