Here are the seven horses expected to run in the 2026 Breeders’ Cup Classic today at Keeneland.

The field includes 2026 Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes winner Golden Tempo; 2026 Preakness winner Napoleon Solo; 2025 Kentucky Derby winner Sovereignty; and 2025 Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Forever Young, the morning-line favorite.

Post positions and morning-line odds for the Breeders’ Cup were set Monday, Oct. 26. Post time for the $7 million Breeders’ Cup Classic is set for 6:16 p.m. today.

6. Magnitude, 6-1 — SCRATCHED

Magnitude scratched from the Classic on Thursday, Oct. 29.

The Daily Racing Form, quoting trainer Steve Asmussen, reported “a PET scan revealed some disruption in the suspensory fibers of his left fore.”

Coolmore America announced Magnitude will be retired and take up stud duties next year at Ashford Stud.
