TEEN star Andria Bartishvili has been struck down by injury ahead of his move to Arsenal.
The forward, 17, damaged a ligament in his right ankle last week playing for Georgian side Iberia 1999.
Bartishvili – who is joining Arsenal next summer when he turns 18 – underwent tests and an MRI scan over the past few days.
It is feared the Georgian wonderkid will now be out of action for around two to three months, although further assessments are scheduled.
Posting on Instagram, Iberia 1999 wrote: “Andria Bartishvili’s MRI research has confirmed high-quality damage to the ATFL (Anterior Talo-Fibular Ligament).
“Andria will be able to complete several stages of treatment and complete rehabilitation before the end of the season.”
Bartishvili is currently on loan at Iberia 1999 from fellow Georgian side Kolkheti 1913, who agreed a deal with Arsenal in September.
The Gunners are paying around £3.75million for the teenager and he is viewed as a top young talent.
Juventus and Liverpool were both tracking the forward, who has been compared to Georgia star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
A spell on the sidelines is a blow for Bartishvili as he was getting experience playing in the Europa Conference League this season.
Despite being only 17, the forward is a key player for Iberia 1999 and he will leave a big hole in their attack.
Bartishvili has already represented Georgia at Under-21 level and had been tipped to break into the senior setup.
