Texas A&M volleyball delivered one of its most impressive weekends of the season, and the Southeastern Conference took notice.
Senior outside hitter Kyndal Stowers was named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, while Eliza Sharp earned SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors after helping the No. 19 Aggies defeat Georgia and No. 4 Kentucky on the road.
The recognition follows A&M's three-set sweep of Kentucky, which snapped the Wildcats' 30-match home winning streak. The victory also marked the Aggies' second win over a top-five opponent this season and continued their momentum in SEC play.
The two awards reflect contributions on both sides of the net, with Stowers leading the offense and Sharp providing a strong defensive presence. Their performances helped Texas A&M extend its winning streak to three matches and improve to 6-3 in conference play.
Below are the SEC's official summaries highlighting each player's performance and weekly recognition.
Texas A&M’s Kyndal Stowers, a senior outside hitter from Denton, Texas, averaged 4.86 points and 4.29 kills per set over two road wins for the Aggies this past weekend. On Friday at Georgia, Stowers recorded the first of two double-doubles on the weekend with 14 kills and 16 digs along with two blocks and two aces. In Sunday’s sweep at No. 4 Kentucky, she registered 16 kills, 10 digs, three assists and one ace.
Texas A&M’s Eliza Sharp, a junior middle blocker from Burlingame, Calif., logged 11 total blocks over two road wins this past weekend. On Friday at Georgia, Sharp posted six kills and four blocks in the four-set win. She then recorded six kills and seven blocks, her most in an SEC match this season, in the sweep at No. 4 Kentucky.
The Aggies return to Reed Arena Friday to face No. 9 Tennessee at 6:30 p.m. CT before traveling to face rival Texas on Sunday.
