The Seattle Seahawks are open to being aggressive buyers at the NFL trade deadline. General manager John Schneider just proved that by acquiring All Pro guard Quenton Nelson from the Indianapolis Colts in a blockbuster deal. If the Seahawks make another trade, the wide receiver position can certainly use upgrading.
The strategy on offense has been "throw Jaxon Smith-Njigba the ball." That's an excellent option to have, but the Seahawks could use better secondary help. Cooper Kupp is an aging possession receiver, and the Rashid Shaheed contract hasn't paid maximum dividends in 2026.
There are several wide receivers potentially available for trade at the deadline (Nov. 10). Two obvious options are Brian Thomas Jr. (Jaguars) and Josh Downs (Colts). One intriguing alternative who may be available for less is veteran Tennessee Titans wideout Calvin Ridley.
The Titans are in full-blown tank mode. They just traded star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears for multiple first-round picks. They'd certainly trade Ridley, who is signed through 2027, if the right offer materializes.
Ridley hasn't been consistently involved in Tennessee's terrible passing attack this season, but he's still running crisp routes on tape. The former 1,000-yard receiver is still a contributor. Ridley would be an interesting addition to this Seahawks offense.
