Led by captains Sarah "Valleys" Scarff and Charmaine Crook, the team displayed "passion, determination, and incredible team spirit."

Both sides put up a strong fight in the first half, leaving Pewsey Vale with a narrow 15-10 lead at the break.

The second half saw the team dig deep and show resilience, resulting in a well-deserved victory.

Their success has been attributed to the hard work and commitment of the squad.

Pewsey Vale Ladies RFC was formed in 2025 and has seen remarkable progress since then.

The newly formed team earned promotion from the Inner Warrior League to NC3 in just one season.

Captain Sarah Scarff said: "From starting our brand-new ladies' team in 2025 to being promoted from Inner Warrior to NC3 in just one season is nothing short of amazing.

"It's been an honour to captain the ladies, and what they've achieved in such a short time is absolutely incredible."

The club believes their success is a testament to the dedication, friendship, and determination of the players, who continue to grow in confidence and ability with every match.

In a bid to continue their success and growth, Pewsey Vale Ladies RFC is keen to welcome more women from the local community to get involved in rugby.

The team is open to everyone, whether an experienced player, someone looking to return to the sport, or a novice who has never picked up a rugby ball.

The team prides itself on being a friendly, welcoming and supportive group of women who enjoy rugby, teamwork, and making lasting friendships.

Training sessions are held every Thursday from 6.45pm to 8pm at the Angela Yeates Memorial Ground, Wilcot Road, Pewsey, SN9 5NL.

No previous rugby experience is needed.

The only requirement is a willingness to give something new a go.

With an incredible journey already behind them and an exciting future ahead, Pewsey Vale Ladies RFC are proving just what can be achieved through teamwork, passion, and determination.

The team hopes to inspire more women to come for the rugby, stay for the friendships, and become part of the Pewsey Vale Ladies rugby family.

The club's achievements serve as a reminder of the power of community spirit and determination, and they are eager to continue their journey with more members.
