Penn State secondary facing big test vs. Washington WR Chris Lawson

Penn State hasn’t been challenged by many offenses this season. The defense is one of the best in the nation, currently giving up only 141.2 passing yards and 18.6 points per game.

The Nittany Lions take on the Washington Huskies this weekend, and while their offense hasn’t been great this year, they have an extremely dangerous receiving threat. Wide receiver Chris Lawson has 638 yards and three touchdowns on the season, and he appears to be getting stronger every game.

Lawson has increased his receiving total in each of the last five games, putting together his masterpiece last week against Nebraska with 155 yards and a touchdown. He is arguably the best wideout that Penn State has seen all year, so cornerback Audavion Collins has his work cut out for him.

Lawson had no stars coming out of high school a couple of years ago. He is an unknown prospect who has exploded onto the scene this season to become one of the best wide receivers in the Big Ten.

He has nothing to lose and everything to gain, so that makes him a dangerous player who the Nittany Lions need to watch out for.
