The young Robins ended the month in similar fashion to how they started, with a victory.
The game was only two minutes old, when Alfie Davis received a through ball to beat the keeper and give Budleigh the lead.
The lead was doubled on 14 minutes with Harry Moore taking advantage of a defensive slip to slot home.
In between Topsham played some close passing moves but, lacked that pass to unlock the visitors’ defence.
As we approach the interval Davis turned provider, feeding Issac Stock, who accepted the opportunity to make it 3-0 to the Robins at halftime.
Strong words must have been spoken in the Topsham dressing room during the interval, for they came out with a more purposeful appetite, putting some pressure on Budleigh, but again it was in that final third of the pitch they struggled.
They were punished when Sam Bentall increased Budleigh’s total to 4-0 lead around the midway stage of the half.
Though Topsham scored a consolation in the closing minutes of the game, that’s the only joy they got for their efforts.
With a full squad they might possibly trouble some teams in the division.
Sadly, the Robins were unable to produce a side on the following morning to take on Marine Academy Plymouth in the Devon County U16’s Youth Cup.
Which meant a Walk Over into the next round for Marine Academy Plymouth.
