The cup success follows the club’s 3-0 victory at Stenhousemuir in the league where Muirhead claimed a double and Pittman a single.

They are now on a four-game unbeaten run after a no-score draw at Dunfermline, a 1-0 home victory over Arbroath and wins at Ochilview and Spartans.

The last time Livi tasted defeat was on October 10 at Partick Thistle in the league and Saturday is a key game. The Lions are fifth in the ten-strong table with 20 points from 13 starts and Inverness are sixth with 19 points from the same number of games.

Livingston have scored 18 goals and let in 11. Inverness have scored 17 but conceded 16 but they have a better recent league record with three wins and two defeats. The Almondvadle club have two wins and a draw plus two defeats.
