To say it has been a season of struggle for Kasper Hogh at Celtic would be an understatement.
Celtic signed Hogh under the cloud of so much excitement, hope and expectation, but so far, it has all fallen flat on its face.
That includes Hogh only scoring in one Celtic game this season, and that was a hat-trick against Kilmarnock in August.
Hogh was selected for Denmark’s games last time out, earning eight minutes, three minutes, five minutes and then eight more minutes from four matches.
To nobody’s surprise, Hogh wasn’t able to make an impact during his little time on the field of play, so he has had to rely on his Celtic form to showcase something.
As many of the Celtic Park faithful have seen, he has struggled like mad, and now Brian Riemer has left him out of their upcoming November internationals.

When the former Bodo/Glimt star first arrived in Glasgow, he came across as a very lively character and somebody who always seemed positive.
There is no doubt that all of that has taken a hit. But perhaps this call from Denmark will be a real kick up the backside for Hogh. That’s the first positive.
The second positive is that this will allow Hogh to work with his coaches inside Lennoxtown, without the interference of games, for a two-week period, during which he can try to solve his issues.
The third positive is that it can’t get any worse from here. He’s not scoring goals for Celtic, and now he has been left out by Denmark. The only way is up, and hopefully, that upward trajectory is enough to make up for all those lost goals in the opening months of the season.
