This is it: the final Football Friday of the 2026 Florida high school football regular season. There are still a few games on the schedule for Saturday, as well as a couple sprinkled in next week, but by and large tonight's game will be it for most of the teams across the Sunshine State.

The FHSAA playoff brackets will be revealed Nov. 6, but after tonight we should get a feel for who will be playing for a spot at the state championships at Pitbull Stadium in Miami. The biggest game of the day pits Cardinal Newman, currently holding onto one of the final spots in the Open Division, against undefeated Carrollwood Day, which lost their 2025 matchup in the Class 1A state semifinal.

Lakeland hosts The First Academy seeking vengeance for last year's overtime loss, while St. Augustine and Buchholz play for perfect seasons against Mandarin and Bolles, respectively. Miami Central takes on Carol City, while Saturday's slate includes IMG Academy hosting the Hun School from New Jersey. And let's not forget huge regional rivalries like the Muck Bowl between Pahokee and Glades Central.
