5 most important plays from Bears' win over Seahawks

The Chicago Bears are one of the top teams in the NFL, and everybody now knows it following their 34-17 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.

It's one thing to beat the defending Super Bowl champions; it's another to walk into their home and dominate them. Right now, it's as impressive a win as they've had in the regular season this century. Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams led an inspired outing on offense while new defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons made his presence known in his Chicago debut.

It is a true team effort in every single game. Nobody is a passenger, which is why they are so good. Whenever you complete a win like that, you are going to have some big plays that led to it. These five stick out above the rest.

1. Caleb Williams hits Luther Burden for first touchdown

The Bears took the lead thanks to this touchdown from Luther Burden, a reception from a pass thrown by Caleb Williams. It was an impressive drive for the Bears -- 17 plays, 80 yards that lasted 8:32 -- capped off by an incredible play by both Williams and Burden to find the end zone.

2. Jeffery Simmons with a sack in his Bears debut

Everybody wanted to see Jeffery Simmons get a sack in his Bears debut. Well, he did just that. It is going to take some time for him to be truly used to the system that the Bears run on defense, but he already looked comfortable enough to be the game-wrecker that he is.

3. Montez Sweat gets a sack of his own

Maybe trading for his former college teammate will unlock the elite play that Montez Sweat has displayed in the past. With Simmons on the interior of the defensive line, that certainly opens things up for Sweat, who had an awesome game highlighted by this sack. The dynamic duo must be great for the Bears to have a chance at winning it all.

4. D'Andre Swift touchdown puts the Bears up by two scores

You could pick from one of D'Andre Swift's three touchdowns, but this second one (midway through the fourth quarter) seems most important. It put the Bears back up by two scores for good. After Swift found the end zone here, the Seahawks didn't score another point.

5. James Lynch seals victory with an interception

The Bears needed a big stop with six minutes remaining in the game. That came when James Lynch intercepted a pass thrown by Sam Darnold. This play allowed the Bears to run down the clock and score one more time for good measure. Someone always seems to step up whenever the Bears need a big play.
