Champions League teams will pay tribute to footballer Jesus de Miguel on Tuesday night after the Tenerife striker died aged 30 following a cardiac arrest during a Spanish second-division match.
Manchester United and Roma will wear black armbands when they meet at Old Trafford, while a minute's silence will be held before the match in memory of the forward.
UEFA has also confirmed that a minute's silence will take place at all its European fixtures this week, including the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, following the death of De Miguel on Tuesday morning.
The 30-year-old died in hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest following a sickening collision with FC Andorra goalkeeper Jesus Owono during Monday night's match against Tenerife.
The incident happened in the closing stages of the 2-2 draw at the Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez Stadium.
With the match in stoppage time, Owono raced out of his penalty area to deal with a long ball. His knee struck De Miguel as the pair collided near the halfway line, with reports describing serious head and chest injuries.
The Tenerife forward was left motionless on the pitch, with players from both sides immediately calling for medical assistance. Owono was shown a straight red card by the referee.
Medical staff spent more than five minutes treating De Miguel on the field before he was taken to hospital by ambulance. Reports said he suffered a cardiac arrest during the emergency transfer, with medics managing to restore his pulse.

He was admitted to intensive care at the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria in Santa Cruz, where he initially remained in a serious but stable condition.
However, Tenerife subsequently revealed that his neurological condition had deteriorated. The club confirmed on Tuesday morning that he had died at 8am local time.
Owono was in tears after the match and is said to be struggling to come to terms with events.

In a heartbreaking statement, Tenerife said: "Heartbroken, with a lump in our throats and unable to believe that this is true, we at CD Tenerife announce the tragic passing, on Tuesday 3 November 2026 at 8am, of Jesus de Miguel Alameda.
"There are no words of comfort; there is absolutely nothing that can alleviate this overwhelming sense of sadness."
Tributes have poured in from across football following his death.
UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said: "We are heartbroken by the death of Jesus de Miguel Alameda. We have searched for words and found only silence. In that silence, our hearts and thoughts are with his family, his teammates, everyone at CD Tenerife, and all those who mourn this tragic loss."
