Late last night, several reports emerged, claiming that AC Milan had reached a verbal agreement with Christian Pulisic on a new contract.
Pulisic’s renewal has been a huge topic around Milan in the past 18 months, if not longer. The parties have been close to agreeing on a renewal several times before, but they’ve never shaken hands and signed on the dotted line.
With his deal up in the summer – ignoring the club’s option of another year – there was a bit of concern heading into this season about where his future would be. However, the Rossoneri have remained positive, with reports confirming their desire to renew his deal before Christmas. Now, it seems they’ve achieved that.
Fabrizio Romano relayed news from Sky Sport last night, confirming that a verbal agreement between the club and Pulisic had been reached on a renewal until 2031. A huge deal and a statement of confidence from both parties.
Gianluca Di Marzio also confirmed that an ‘agreement in principle’ had been reached for the American’s new deal. It’s expected to be formalised in the next few days, but what is a few days when the wait has already been so long?
After his goal this weekend, everything seems to be clicking for the American. Now, with his new contract, the hope will be that he can return to his best levels.
